PTT’S MISSION OF HOPE REACHES OUT TO FIRE VICTIMS

PTT Philippines Foundation’s ‘Mission of Hope” has visited Barangay Capunitan, a fishing village in the town of Orion in Bataan for an outreach program following the recent massive fire that hit the area. The fire that broke out in the morning of January 29, 2019 razed some 800 houses that affected more than a thousand families. With its established strong foundation of corporate citizenship, PTT Philippines through its Foundation arm immediately sent its “Mission of Hope” team to conduct a relief operation at the Capunitan Elementary School that served as a temporary shelter for affected families, mostly are fisherfolks who are regular customers of PTT Orion station where they buy gasoline for their motorized banca used for fishing. The PTT team led by Saisithong Khwanchai, Chief Finance Officer of PTT Philippines Trading Corporation; and Manat Rodthanong, Operations & Logistics Manager of PTT Philippines Corporation, conducted the relief operation in collaboration with the municipal government of Orion, Bataan, the Municipal Social Welfare Department, and the People Management Association of the Philippines.
