March 28, 2018
PTT Philippines on Wednesday launched its new roadside assistance campaign that promotes road safety and etiquette among motorists and commuters in time for the Lenten break.
Dubbed as “Sawaddee Safety’, the campaign is aimed at providing assistance to motorists and educating them as well on road safety and courtesy, said PTT Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Sukanya Seriyothin.
“It is important to always remind both the motorists and commuters or the travellers, in general, to observe proper road safety and courtesy,” Seriyothin said. “And the long holiday this Holy Week is a perfect opportunity to do this advocacy.”
PTT has set up assistance booth in 14 of its gasoline stations in Central, South, and North Luzon where there are standby mechanics assigned to provide free vehicle check-ups and assistance with engine troubles like overheating, brakes and steering.
These participating PTT stations are located in Urdaneta, Pangasinan; Talavera, Nueva Ecija; Tarlac City; Malolos, Bulacan; Pilar, Bataan; Concepcion, Tarlac, San Ildefonso, Bulacan; San Fernando, Pampanga; Taytay, Rizal; Lucena City; Calumpang, Batangas; San Pablo, Laguna; and Dasmarinas, Cavite.
Apart from the free vehicle check-up, the participating stations are giving away free bottled water and some information materials about road safety and etiquette.
The “Sawadee Safety” campaign will run until April 1, Easter Sunday.
