PTT Philippines wins PMAP Employer of the Year plum

Thai oil firm PTT Philippines has emerged as this year’s winner of the coveted Employer of the Year (EOY) Award for Luzon from the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) for satisfactorily fulfilling its people management responsibility.
PTT Philippines President & Chief Executive Officer Sukanya Seriyothin personally received the award during the PMAP Convention held in Baguio City.
“This award is not really about our programs or what we have done for our employees, but our employees recognizing our imperfection as an organization but at the same time, showing their appreciations to what we have been trying to do to be the best employer not just for the sake of recognition, but for their benefits,” Ms. Seriyothin said.efit. The EOY is one of the three categories for the PMAP Awards that also include People Manager of the Year and the People Program of the Year, and being vied for by organizations and individuals in both the private and public sectors.
The PMAP Awards were institutionalized in 1977 with the vision to recognize outstanding organizations and individuals to help advance the people management profession in the country.
The EOY Award, in particular, is meant to give public honor to the company for others to emulate its example.
PTT Philippines was cited for its demonstrated leadership, dynamism, professionalism, strategic thinking and implementation, continuous improvement in HR processes and programs, linkage of HR to business objectives, and employee focus.
Apart from EOY accolade for 2018, PTT Philippines was also given the PMAP Exemplar Award in recognition of its outstanding contributions and best practices in human resources management.
Paul Patricio Senador, PTT Philippines’ Director for Corporate Support, accompanied Ms. Seriyothin in accepting the award.
