PTT Philippines to receive ISO 9001:2015 certification
October 27, 2020
PTT Philippines has been recommended for an ISO 9001:2015 certification by one of the world’s leading certifying bodies, Bureau Veritas (BV).
The recommendation was made recently after the Thai oil firm successfully passed a series of BV audit, validation, and monitoring of the company’s compliance to management systems that would improve the organizational performance and reputation.
Achieving an ISO 9001:2015 certification means that the organization has followed the guidelines of the ISO 9001 standard, fulfilled its own requirements, met customer requirements including statutory and regulatory, and maintained documentation.
The Bureau Veritas team of auditors led by Reynaldo de Guzman conducted the process mostly through the remote auditing with the use of technology, particularly via Microsoft Teams.
“It was successfully completed despite the impact of COVID-19 pandemic to the business, travel restrictions and local borders closure that show the company’s commitment to its corporate vision, mission, values and efforts to continuously improve its quality management system,” PTT Philippines Director for Corporate Support Paul Senador said.
PTT Philippines Corporation President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thitiroj Rergsumran and PTT Trading Corporation President & CEO Danilo Alabado both personally participated in the audit process.
PTT Philippines is expected to formally receive its latest ISO certification from BV anytime soon.
In 2017, the company received its ISO 9001:2008 certification that specifies requirements for a quality management system where it needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
