From business to politics and to some petty topics, select members of the media bantered with key executives of PTT Philippines as they shared a lighter moment during the first “PTT Meets the Press” held Wednesday at the Café Amazon Training Center in Quezon City.

The informal set-up for a media forum inside the coffee shop set the mood to allow a light exchange of questions and answers that brought the discussion to a myriad of topics ranging from the serious side of PTT business operations in the Philippines, to the Thai oil firm’s assessment on the business climate, and even to the “Operation Tuli”, one of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects this summer.

PTT Philippines Marketing Director Thitiroj Rergsumran shared information on the planned expansion of PTT business in the Philippines, including its target of 30 new gasoline stations and new branches of its coffee chain Café Amazon for this year.

Mr. Rergsumran was joined by Vittaya Viboonterawud, Director for Commercial Fuels & Lubricants; and Paul Senador, President of PTT Philippines Foundation, in addressing the questions raised by select editors and news anchors.

Mr. Viboonterawud shared some insights on the Philippine business climate, while Mr. Senador disclosed the aggressive implementation of several CSR projects where PTT has business presence.

“PTT Meets the Press” is a quarterly media forum that serves as a venue for a healthy discussion between PTT and the media, and as a source of story ideas that could be good materials for publication or broadcast.

The next “PTT Meets the Press” is scheduled in July.
