PTT Philippines’ Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (QSHE) personnel Reymond Reyes Dimitui has made it to this year’s roster of The Outstanding Workers of the Republic (TOWER) awardees, an accolade bestowed to country’s most outstanding non-supervisory blue-collar and white-collar workers. No less than Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., handed the award during the recent Labor Day celebration at the Malacanan Palace.

Dimitui was recognized for his innovation project called “Road Transport Development & Assessment Standards (Hauler’s Audit Program)” that he introduced to PTT Philippines “to boost the capability and integrity of service providers by identifying operational gaps and potential risks that could impact the company, haulers, drivers and their families, the public, and the environment.”

“I am grateful for this award which I also share to my PTT Family for embracing this kind of innovation that could help improve our management system and promote road and public safety,” Dimitui said.

During the awarding ceremony in Malacanang with other individual and group winners, Dimitui was accompanied by incoming PTT Philippines President & CEO Khun Athiwat Rattanakorn, Corporate Support Director Paul Senador, and QSHE Assistant Manager Jose Solomon.

Founded in 1975 by the Rotary Club of Manila, the TOWER Awards Program aims to recognize the contribution of workers to economic development while uplifting Filipino workers’ morale, enhancing individual career opportunities, and promoting industrial peace.

The Search was also the Rotary Club of Manila’s partnership with People Management Association of the Philippines and the Department of Labor and Employment.

PTT Philippines Lubricants and Café Amazon Philippines will be showcasing their products in the biggest and longest-running franchise show in Asia, the Franchise Asia 2023 Expo to be held on October 27-29 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

Apart from products showcase, PTT Lubricants and Café Amazon have special freebies for visitors who will drop-by their booth during the three-day event. Marketing specialists of both brands are also on stand-by for would be investors planning to partner for business opportunities. There will be product selling as well.

PTT Lubricants will be stationed at Booth 301 while Café Amazon is at Booths 509-512.

Franchise Asia 2023 has over 500 brands participating in the event.

PTT Philippines, a subsidiary of the National Oil Company from Thailand, has announced the appointment of Mr. Athiwat Rattanakorn as the new President & Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2024. This appointment follows the retirement of Khun Sukanya Seriyothin in May.

Athiwat began his tenure in the Philippines on April 1, 2023, as the Marketing Director of PTT Philippines Corporation (PTTPC), after serving as the International and Supply Sales Division Manager at PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) in Bangkok, Thailand, for four years. His expertise in trading petroleum products includes exporting from domestic refineries to markets in Southeast Asia, including CMLV, Indonesia, Singapore, Bangladesh, China, and the Philippines. He also briefly held the role of Supply Chain Manager at OR, where he managed the procurement of petroleum products and sourcing from the international market to meet national demand.

An Economics graduate from Chulalongkorn University, Rattanakorn successfully introduced Texas Chicken to Thailand, leading its supply chain management, marketing, real estate, and business development, which resulted in the opening of 25 outlets within three years.

Before the establishment of OR, Athiwat was a Crude Oil Trader for PTT Public Company Limited (PTT Plc) in Singapore, responsible for sourcing crude oil and condensate from National Oil Companies in the Middle East, West Africa, and the Far East to supply PTT Group refineries. Also, he traded crude oil for refineries in Asia, including those in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, India, and China.

Prior to his two-year trading role in Singapore, he worked in crude oil operations for PTT Plc in Bangkok for four years, following his initial position as a Planning and Analyst.

Athiwat also holds a post-graduate degree in Information Management & Systems from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, which he earned in 2003.

PTT Philippines has opened its newest station in Bulacan, this time in the city of Meycauayan to beef up its presence in the outskirt of Metro Manila.

PTT Meycauayan was formally opened last August 15 to serve motorists plying the Iba Road, a major thoroughfare in the east side of Meycauayan leading to and from North Caloocan and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Marketing Director Athiwat Rattanakorn who led the inaugural through a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Dealer Czylvester Pacheco and wife Carmina expressed optimism on more partnership in the future.

Café Amazon Philippines joined the recent business matching event organized by the Royal Thai Embassy Manila, an annual event aimed at gathering various brands and potential investors together in one place for possible collaboration and investment.

PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Khun Sukanya Seriyothin attended the event held at Dusit Thani Hotel to personally introduce Café Amazon to potential investors in the Philippines.

Café Amazon, a Thai brand coffee shop chain, was first introduced in the Philippines in 2016 after PTT Philippines secured a master franchise from its parent company in Thailand.

PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Khun Sukanya Seriyothin paid a courtesy call on Lt. Gen. Stephen Parreno, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PTT and PAF on their collaboration in the implementation of PTT Philippines’ corporate social responsibility project called “PTT Paaral”. Ms. Seriyothin thanked the PAF for supporting the CSR project that aims to provide school supplies and other educational materials to public elementary school children in various remote barangays in the country. Gen. Parreno, on the other hand, assured PTT Philippines of PAF’s continued support to its CSR undertakings. The collaboration between PTT Philippines and the PAF had started in 2014 for PTT’s “BakaJuan: Back to the Mangroves” project in Noveleta, Cavite where they planted 200,000 mangrove propagules. Ms. Seriyothin was accompanied in the courtesy call at the PAF headquarters in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City by Marketing Director Athiwat Rattanakorn, Supply & Logistics Director Apichate Thipphayakosai, and PTT Philippines Foundation, Inc. President Paul Senador.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Philippines-Thailand diplomatic relations, PTT Philippines, in cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy Manila, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Philippine Air Force (PAF) to enhance their partnership on corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in the country.

The MOU signing, held at PTT Philippines office in Makati City, was witnessed by Thai Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Tull Traisorat and PTT Oil & Retail (OR) Business Public Company Limited Chief Executive Officer Khun Disathat Panyarachun, with OR Senior Executive Vice President for Global Business Khun Racha U-Thaichan.

PTT Philippines Corporation President & CEO Khun Sukanya Seriyothin and PTT Philippines Trading Corporation President & CEO Danilo Alabado signed in the MOU with PTT Philippines Foundation, Inc. (PTTPFI) President Paul Patricio Senador. The PAF, on the other hand, was represented by Major Gen. Teofilo Bailon, Jr. on behalf of Commanding General Stephen Parreno.

The MOU signing was part of this year’s celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Thailand. The Philippines formally established its diplomatic ties with Thailand on June 14, 1949.

Meanwhile, during the signing event, PTTPFI formally turned-over to its long-standing CSR partner, the PAF, one-million-peso worth of educational materials under its ‘PTT Paaral Program’.

The educational materials will be distributed by the PAF Civic-Military Operations Group, as PTT Philippines’ CSR partner, in various public elementary schools in remote areas of the country.

The amount came from the proceeds of PTT Restroom 20, a donation toilet concept with first class amenities that currently operates in PTT Lucena in Quezon Province and PTT SCTEX in Concepcion, Tarlac. It is the same Restroom 20 concept that was originally implemented by PTT’s parent company, the PTT OR in Thailand. (JTJ)
